How Can I Track When My Emails Are Actually Opened?

I'm running a logistics software startup and have started doing cold outreach to connect with operations managers and logistics leads. I've been experimenting with different send times for my emails, but I notice I sometimes get replies at odd hours and other times, I hear nothing back at all. While I'm tracking email opens, it's tough to discern when recipients are genuinely reading my emails versus just quickly skimming them. I use **Warpleads** for bulk leads and **Prospeo with Sales Navigator** for targeting specific roles or companies. I'm looking for tools or methods that could give me clearer insights into when my emails are opened. Are there better ways to analyze this or do you all just rely on general patterns?

One option you could try is using Google Analytics. It might help you get a better sense of your email engagement.

I've read that a common technique is embedding a 1x1 pixel image in your email that links back to your server. When someone opens the email, the image loads from your server, and you can track when it gets accessed. That should give you an idea of when they actually read it! Just make sure the URL or filename is unique for each email to keep your stats clean.

That sounds interesting! I might just give it a go.
