How can I transfer files from my old SATA drive to Cachyos?

I recently switched to Cachyos from Windows 10, and I have a lot of files (like games, home videos, and my resume) stored on an internal SATA drive. I've already scrapped my old computer, so I'm looking for advice on how to get these files transferred over.

You should check out the migration page on the wiki for some solid tips. They also have sticky posts with migration advice that could help you figure things out. Just be careful with installing anything from unknown sources and always verify your ISOs after downloading!

When you say internal, do you mean you can unplug the SATA drive? If so, just connect it to your new setup while the computer is off, and Linux will usually handle the rest for you!

I noticed you mentioned an issue with gparted saying 'unable to detect file system'. Is the drive encrypted, or could it just be formatted? If it's NTFS, make sure you’ve installed ntfs-3g so you can read and write to it. Otherwise, you might be facing access issues.

I did install ntfs-3g, but now my computer gets stuck at the loading screen. Any ideas?
