How Can I Transfer Files to a FAT32 USB Drive for My PS3?

I'm trying to get some files transferred to a USB drive that's formatted to FAT32 for my PS3, but I'm running into a major issue. I received a "File Too Large" error after downloading almost 70GB out of 80GB of files. I need the files to be on a FAT32 USB drive, but this limitation is really frustrating. Does anyone have suggestions on how to fix this issue? I'm using Windows 11 and my PS3 runs on CFW EvilNat 4.91 with a 128GB USB drive.

The issue you're facing is due to the FAT32 format, which has a file size limit of 4GB. You won't be able to store any single file larger than that on your FAT32 drive. It’s a bummer you got so far into the download only to hit that wall! Your best bet is to reformat your USB drive to NTFS or exFAT, but be aware you'll need a workaround to get your PS3 to read those formats.

Yeah, it really is annoying that the smaller files got saved first. It would have been better if the downloads were managed differently to avoid that headache.

Just to elaborate, all files over 4GB will get stuck due to the FAT32 limit. If you're trying to use exFAT, remember that PS3 doesn’t support it directly. Instead, using NTFS might be your go-to solution if you can find a way to make that work on your console. You may need some homebrew tools to read those files correctly.

Right, that's the tricky part! Just keep in mind that exFAT can't be read by PS3 at all, so NTFS is your best shot if you’re looking for larger file sizes.
