Hey everyone! I recently lost my Android phone and had to borrow my friend's iPhone. The problem is, I can't log into my school account since I need to verify using Microsoft Authenticator. I downloaded the app on the iPhone, but both my school and the app keep telling me to verify through my old Android authenticator, which I obviously can't do right now. Is there any way to access my account with this new setup? It seems like I might be stuck in a glitch since I can't restore my previous data due to the different operating systems. Any suggestions would really help!

Just a heads up, this isn't a tech support forum, but you're definitely going to need your school's IT to reset things if you can’t access your old authenticator app.
Don't worry about the terms! Just focus on getting in touch with IT.
In the future, it's a good idea to have Microsoft Authenticator set up on two different devices if possible, like one Android and one iPhone. That way, you won’t get stuck like this again!
You should reach out to your school's IT department and put in a support ticket. They can help reset your multi-factor authentication (MFA) or add another verification method for you.
Totally agree! They can reset your MFA; just be patient with the process.
Thanks for the info! I wasn't sure what sysadmin meant but I appreciate the help!
