Hey everyone! I'm graduating high school soon and unfortunately, my school account is set to be deleted shortly after. I'm part of the Yearbook team, and we've stored a lot of important files on Google Drive that I really want to keep. The main issue is that my school has some restrictions in place, so Google Takeout or similar options won't work for me. I've got a lot of files to move - over 15GB total, though I could trim it down if necessary. I've been downloading everything manually, but I'm hoping there's a better way to transfer this shared folder to my personal account, especially since there are school restrictions preventing me from easily sharing files outside the school. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately, there isn't a super easy method for this. The typical way is to download the files and then upload them to your new account. However, if you're able to, you might want to try sharing the folder and then accessing it from your personal account. Just keep in mind that school restrictions might make this tricky.
That really sucks! I can't share files outside the school either, so that option is off the table for me.
