I've been working as a full stack developer for about three years, and now I'm looking to switch over to DevOps. I was originally preparing for the AZ-200 exam but I've changed my mind and would prefer to focus on the AZ-400 instead. I'm feeling a bit lost since I don't have hands-on experience with tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Kubernetes. What steps should I take to make this transition, and how can I stand out to recruiters?

If you're already working at a company with a DevOps or Platform Team, a great way to start is by collaborating with them. Try to get involved in their projects; it's a good way to gain experience and learn from them.
I was in a similar boat with three years in full stack. For me, teaming up with the platform group made a huge difference. Initially, I just took on deployment tasks a couple of times, but then I became the go-to person for things like web hosting and security queries. I made it a point to be around the platform and security teams to learn more and slowly became part of the team.
