Hey everyone! I'm new here and I've been exploring the idea of shifting from mobile development to DevOps. I noticed that many people making this switch tend to have a backend background, and I'm curious about how challenging it might be for someone like me. I have two years of experience as a native mobile developer, and I'm wondering if my skills will be considered valuable in DevOps, especially since I'm also working on building DevOps projects on the side. Would HR see me as a suitable candidate? I'd really appreciate your insights!

It's great that you're interested in DevOps! The fact that you're already working on projects like deploying a Spring Boot microservices app on AWS is a huge plus. DevOps is all about collaboration, automation, and scaling, so getting hands-on with tools like Jenkins and Docker puts you ahead of the game. I'd recommend diving deeper into CI/CD practices, cloud platforms, and perhaps learning a bit about infrastructure as code. Keep building those side projects!

If I were hiring, I’d look for experience in automation, scripting skills, and knowledge of monitoring tools. Just highlight your DevOps-related projects well on your CV!

Exactly! Showcasing your projects and the technologies you used can definitely make you stand out.
