Hey everyone, my iPhone 13's ringer switch is broken, and I'm stuck with the sound on. I've tried looking in the control panel and the sound and haptics settings, but nothing seems to be working to get it into silent mode. Does anyone know how I can activate silent mode without using the physical switch?

I found a way to set a shortcut that toggles silent mode and even added it to my Lock Screen. It took a bit of experimenting, but now it's super handy!

You can use Assistive Touch to manage your phone without needing the ringer switch. Just enable Assistive Touch in accessibility settings and you should be able to find an option to toggle silent mode!

Actually, silent mode isn’t directly available in Assistive Touch options.

You can also create a shortcut to set silent mode and assign it to a button. This way, you can just tap a button to toggle silence!

Just to clarify, the iPhone 13 doesn't have an action button like older models. Are you thinking of remapping the sleep/wake button instead?
