I'm new to Ubuntu and I really need to type the section symbol (§). I don't know how to use shortcuts on this system, so any help would be greatly appreciated! As a side note, I managed to find a virtual keyboard that had the symbol, but I'm looking for other options too.

You might want to try setting up the compose key in the settings. Once you've done that, you can type the section symbol by pressing compose key followed by 'o' and then 's'. It’s super handy once you get used to it!

That sounds really useful! I'll give that a shot. Thanks for the tip!

If you're looking for a quick fix, just copy the section symbol from somewhere and paste it whenever you need it. Not the most elegant solution, but it definitely works! Just Google the symbol to find it easily.

Good idea! I'll do that until I figure out the shortcuts.

You can also check out the Character Map application in Ubuntu. It's a straightforward tool where you can search for special characters like the section symbol and copy it directly from there.
