I've got an iPad that has been locked after my kids kept entering the wrong passcode. Now it says 'iPad Unavailable,' and I don't want to lose any of my data. Is there any way to get it to try the passcode again without erasing the whole device? I know both my passcode and my Apple ID password.

Just to clarify, it’s disabled, but 'unavailable' means you won’t be able to try again without wiping the device.
Sorry, but once it’s marked as 'unavailable,' you pretty much have to erase it to regain access.
Unfortunately, if there's no countdown timer showing, the only option you have is to restore it using a computer. There isn't a way to unlock it without erasing it first.
