Hey everyone, I really need some help! I accidentally got my iPhone 11 locked by a hacker after trying to access a free Apple account that promised access to paid games. After logging into this shady account, my phone suddenly went into lost mode, and I panicked. The hacker then began blackmailing me for $20 in Bitcoin to unlock my phone! I consulted my aunt about this situation and she confirmed it was a scam, so I refused to pay. After that, I decided to reset my phone, thinking it would fix the issue. However, it's now locked to the owner's Apple ID from the scammer's email, and I can't log in because it seems the account has been deleted. I don't have the receipt to prove ownership either, so I'm feeling completely stuck. Is there any way to work around this and unlock my phone?

I'm really sorry to hear about your experience! Unfortunately, since you don’t have proof of purchase and the email/account is deleted, your options are limited. Normally, Apple needs that proof for any kind of reset. You might want to contact Apple Support directly for advice, but be prepared for them to require ownership verification.

That’s a bummer. Do you think it’s worth trying to sell it for parts then?
