Hey everyone! I'm curious whether it's too late to upgrade my girlfriend's AM4 setup. Right now, she has a Ryzen 3600x, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, an RTX 2070 Super graphics card, and an 800W power supply. I handed this PC down to her after upgrading my own before the RAM price surge, and she's currently gaming at 1080p. However, we've found that using the TV with HDMI is really appealing. I'm in Canada, and I'm not sure where to look for good CPU deals, like the 5800X3D I heard was on AliExpress. Any thoughts or suggestions?

X3Ds are likely pretty overpriced at this point. The Ryzen 5600X could be a decent upgrade from the 3600X for 1080p gaming, but you might want to check if the 2070 Super is already being pushed to its limits with the current CPU. If that’s the case, upgrading the CPU might not give you a noticeable performance boost.
If you're sticking with an AM4 setup, consider browsing the used market. The 5600X would give you a nice performance jump, but with only the 2070 Super, don't expect a massive difference. Unless you're thinking about upgrading the GPU too, I would say it might be best to hold off for now.
