I've got an older iPad, but I can't remember the password to get in. After a few attempts, it's locked me out and now it says 'iPad is disabled, connect to iTunes.' I've heard that this will erase all the data on the iPad, which I really don't want to do. Is there any way to reset the password or continue trying without wiping everything? Any help would be appreciated!

Yeah, Apple doesn’t really give you much wiggle room here. If it's beyond the password attempts, the best course is to connect it to iTunes to reset, which will wipe your data. If you’re lucky and had backups, you can restore afterward. Otherwise, I’d say it might be time to let it go.
