How can I upload a CD of family history to YouTube?

I have a CD that contains a video about a family member who survived the Holocaust and I want to upload it to YouTube. A few history teachers are interested in it, and I want to make it easy for them to access the video via a link. The problem is, I'm not sure how to do this. I'm currently dealing with a brain injury, which makes it hard for me to concentrate and understand technical instructions. I would really appreciate help that breaks it down into simple steps. Also, I don't own a computer and plan to go to the library to figure this out. Thank you in advance for any assistance!

First, see if you can play the CD on a library computer. If it has video files on it, uploading them to YouTube could be as easy as dragging and dropping them from the CD to your computer, then following the upload instructions on YouTube. Just treat the CD like a regular drive!

Thanks for the tip! I forgot to mention I’m going to the library since I don’t have a computer, but I’ll check to see what files are on it.

Just pop the CD into the PC and check its contents. If it's straightforward video files, the upload process is really easy—like dragging files around your folders. Articles sometimes make it sound more complicated than it really is!

Wow, thanks for breaking it down! It sounds so much simpler when explained this way.

If your library computer can read the CD, then you can either upload the videos directly or use free editing software to combine them first if needed. Just remember, you can set the videos to "unlisted" on YouTube, so they’re only accessible through the link. Good luck!
