I've got a bunch of x-rays from my surgeries that I'd like to see. The doctor's office gave me a CD for $5, but I can't seem to open it on my PS3 or my boyfriend's PC. I'm wondering if there's anything I can buy or do to view these x-rays at home. Also, I noticed they wrote 'UOI' above the x-ray—does that mean anything?

If you really can't open the files, just give them a call and explain the situation. They might have suggestions or even help you access those x-rays remotely.
Make sure you know what file format the images are in. Sometimes, you might need specific software to view them. If it's a common format like JPEG or PNG, any photo viewer should work, but it might be a DICOM file that needs special software.
Usually, when you get a CD with x-rays, it should come with a viewer program that lets you open the images. There’s often an executable file on the disc. Try inserting the CD into your computer and see if it prompts you to run that viewer. If nothing happens, it might be worth going back to the office to ask for help or for them to reprint it correctly.
If your computer doesn’t automatically pop up the viewer option, you might want to check if you can manually navigate to the disk in 'My Computer' and look for the executable file there.
Honestly, I’d rather have just paid for a physical printout than deal with this CD hassle. They should really offer both options!
