Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card from an RTX 3050 (6GB) to a 5060 T, but I've never replaced any components in my prebuilt PC before. I'm a bit worried about how challenging this might be. Can anyone share their experience and let me know if it's complicated? I really don't want to break anything while doing it!

Replacing your graphics card is actually one of the easiest upgrades you can make! It should only take about 10 minutes for the physical installation. Just remember to check that your power supply unit (PSU) can handle the new GPU and has the necessary PCIe power cables. There are plenty of guides available online too!
Just be careful with the latch on the PCIe slot when you’re removing the old card. Also, handle your new GPU gently and avoid touching the gold contacts. Updating your drivers with Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) after installation is a good idea too!
It's pretty simple! You just need to pop the old GPU out and slide the new one in. Listen for a snap when you secure everything; it may not always be loud, but if it feels snug, you're good to go! Just ensure to push firmly without bending anything.
Nah, as long as it feels secure and you’ve plugged everything in properly, you should be fine!
Most new GPUs require a little extra power, so ensure your PSU is equipped with the necessary cables. After removing your old card, remember to double-check if everything fits back together smoothly. It’s a straightforward process once you get the hang of it!
What if I don’t hear the snap? Should I worry?
