How Do I Check Connected Devices and Change My BT Home Hub WiFi Settings?

Hey everyone! I recently moved into a new place and set up my BT (British Telecom) WiFi 4G hub. Initially, it worked great, but lately, I've been experiencing some serious lag over the last day and a half. I'm not super tech-savvy, so I'm wondering if there's a way to see how many devices are currently connected to my WiFi. Is it possible that a neighbor is using my connection? Also, could anyone guide me through the process of changing the WiFi name from BTHub4G to something like Apartment 6, and how to update the password? I tried searching online but it was a bit confusing for me. Thanks in advance for your help, and I hope you're having a great day! 😊

Looks like the lag could be due to using 4G for your internet. Since this is mobile data, too many users connecting to the network (like EE or Three) can really slow things down. Weather and other issues with cell towers might also affect your connection. It's unlikely that a neighbor is using your WiFi, especially if you've secured it with a password.

To check the connected devices, you need to access your router's management page. While connected to your WiFi, open a browser and type in the router's IP address, which often looks something like 192.168.1.254. You can usually find this address on a sticker on the router itself.

After entering the address, you’ll get to the router's control panel where you can log in using the default username and password (also found on the sticker). From there, look for a "connected devices" section – you should see a list of all devices linked to your hub. You can even assign labels to make them easier to identify. If you run into any issues, BT’s customer service can be a big help!

You might want to check out the BT Hub Manager; it’s a user-friendly tool for managing your router settings. Here’s a link to help you get started: [Access your router with BT Hub Manager | BT Help](https://www.bt.com/help/broadband/learn-about-broadband/learn-about-the-bt-hub-manager). It's pretty straightforward once you're in there!
