How Do I Choose Between RAM Tested Speed and SPD Speed?

I'm building a new PC with an AMD setup and I'm eyeing some Corsair RAM. On the product page, I've noticed two speeds listed: the Tested Speed (6000 mt/s) and the SPD Speed (4800 mt/s). I'm a bit confused about which speed I should focus on when considering performance. Do I really need to enable EXPO to unlock the higher speed? Any insights would be appreciated!

The SPD speed is basically the default setting for your RAM—it’s what it will run at out of the box. The tested speed is what the RAM can achieve if you use EXPO (or XMP for Intel systems). If you want to hit that higher speed like 6000 mt/s, then yes, you’ll need to enable EXPO.

Got it, so it’s pretty much necessary to use EXPO to hit those higher speeds, right? Thanks!
