I'm trying to decide on the right size for a UPS to protect my PC and other gear. I've got a setup with a Ryzen 7 7700 CPU, a 4070 Super GPU, and a 750W power supply unit (PSU). The power situation in my house isn't great, especially with the old wiring, and I've lost a few important sessions while working on music due to outages. I want to make sure my PC, monitor, pedalboard, and router/modem are all covered. Would a smaller 600W UPS suffice, considering my PC doesn't constantly draw 750W?

You should usually go for a UPS that matches your PSU wattage. It’s tempting to save a few bucks by guessing how much power your PC draws, but that can backfire. Your system may not always hit that 750W mark, but it can spike and if the power goes out, a smaller UPS might shut down too early. If outages are frequent, it's better not to cut corners here!
Gotcha. So get something that can handle at least the wattage of my PSU?
