How do I migrate to Linux Mint on my old Sony AIO?

Hey everyone! I'm trying to switch my old Sony All-in-One to Linux Mint since it can't run Windows 11. I've prepared a bootable USB stick that works fine on my wife's laptop, but I can't seem to access the BIOS on my AIO to boot from it. My plan was to boot from the Mint USB, wipe the hard drive, and install Mint directly on the AIO, then restore my backed-up files from other USBs. I've looked on some Vaio forums for advice on accessing the BIOS, but if I can't get in, does anyone have alternative suggestions?

Have you tried accessing the UEFI firmware settings through Windows? You can go to Settings > Update & Security > Recovery, then hit Restart Now. After that, navigate to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > UEFI Firmware Settings. This might help you get into the BIOS!

Why are you having trouble reaching the BIOS? Sony Vaios can be tricky, but I found a way to boot from USB with some help. If you keep trying different keys like F1, F2, F3, F8, F10, F12, or Del while it starts up, you might get lucky.

Yeah, I've been trying those keys! It's a bit of a challenge, but I finally managed to boot from the USB after some digging.
