I'm really in a bind here! I've got a power supply unit (PSU) with a 20+4 pin cable, but I've accidentally separated them, and now I'm stuck trying to get them back together. I've got the 20 pins and the extra 4 separated on the same cable, but no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to connect them. I've heard that you need to have them locked together before plugging them into the motherboard slot, but I didn't manage to do that before. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I'm losing my mind over this!

Connecting 20+4 pins can be tricky, but you might just need a little patience. Instead of forcing them together, try to wiggle them lightly while pushing down. If they’re really not locking in, double-check to make sure you're aligning them correctly. Sometimes flipping them 180 degrees helps if they seem stuck!
Yep, you definitely need to make sure those pins are locked together before you try to plug them in. They should click into place securely. If you're having trouble, try aligning them carefully and pressing gently but firmly. It shouldn’t require too much force. Just be sure you're not forcing it in a way that could damage the connectors!
I wish it felt more secure when I do that. It just feels like I'm going to break them! Maybe I should check if there's any debris or something blocking the connection? Not sure what to look for.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely try flipping them around. Maybe I was just trying too hard from the wrong angle.
