Hi everyone! I'm really hoping someone can help me figure this out. My Apple account got locked because I entered the wrong password too many times while trying to log into an old iPad. Now that I remember my email and password, I want to get back into my account, but I can't recover it because I don't have access to the phone number or email linked to it anymore. I've read that maybe if I wait 24 hours and then try logging in again with the correct password, it might work? Is that true, or am I misunderstanding? I'd really appreciate any guidance you can offer, and please be gentle—I'm not too tech-savvy!

You should start the account recovery process on Apple’s support website. That’s the most straightforward way to get your account back.
You don’t actually need access to your old email or password. As long as you remember what the email is, you can use it to log in. You just need the trusted phone number to verify your account during recovery.
That’s not true, they require a verification code sent to that number. I’ve attempted this multiple times, even with Apple’s help, and it’s not working.
Waiting 24 hours won’t help you. If you’ve already tried the recovery process and it didn’t work, you might have to consider that the account is abandoned. Sorry, but that's the reality.
I can't abandon it! I need that account to unlock my device. I'm also trying to access an old Gmail that's linked but can't get in.
I spent 90 minutes on the phone with Apple support, but it was pointless because I can’t verify using my old phone number or email.
