I've got a 1.2mm (0.0472 inches) screw that's stripped and is keeping the back of my laptop from coming off. I need to get to the fan to clean out some dust, but despite having the right screwdrivers for the other screws, this one just won't budge. I'm searching for tools that can handle such a small screw but haven't found anything useful. Any suggestions on how to tackle this?

It sounds like you may need to try using a screwdriver that's slightly larger to see if you can get a grip on it. If that doesn't work, you might have to drill the screw head off, and then you can remove the remaining screw threads with pliers. Just make sure to be careful not to damage the surrounding area while drilling!
Have you considered using a screw extractor? They’re specifically designed for situations like this. You just have to select one that matches the screw size you’re dealing with.
What size would you recommend for this dimension of screw?

What’s the size difference I should look for do you think? Like half a size up? It is pretty thoroughly stripped from when it was repaired by HP.
