I've got an M2 screw that's totally stripped and won't budge at all, even with pliers. I've tried everything I could find online like using rubber bands and pliers, but it's only made things worse. I'm worried I might have already damaged my motherboard while trying to get this screw out. I really need to remove it today. Can anyone suggest a reliable method?

If you have a Dremel, one method is to carefully cut a notch in the top of the screw so you can use a flathead screwdriver to turn it. Just make sure to use the lowest speed possible to avoid cutting too deep or losing control. I've had good luck using a piece of paper with a hole in it to catch metal shavings while I work. After that, vacuum up any leftover shavings before you try to unscrew it.
Another quick method is just to drill the head off the screw. It takes literally a few seconds!
