I'm currently locked out of my BitLocker encrypted drive, and I realized I never set up a recovery key. I've checked my most recent Microsoft account, but I can't find the recovery key associated with it, even though my PC shows up in the devices section of my account. Is there a way to identify the email linked to the recovery key, or at least get a hint about it? Also, I noticed there's a command prompt available during the BitLocker troubleshooting screen. I have some files from this PC backed up in the cloud—could that be helpful in any way? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried restarting your PC? Sounds silly, but I got locked out once too and just rebooting my laptop fixed everything!
Unfortunately, there's no way to directly retrieve that key if you haven't noted it down. It's often auto-activated, and without a key, you won't be able to access your files.
Thanks anyway! That's a bummer.
I don’t think you can see the email associated with the BitLocker key. Generally, it's linked to the first Microsoft account set up on the device, which might not even be yours.
I really don't remember that email! Is there any way to at least get a hint like xy***@xyz.com?

I did just restart it, but now I'm considering removing the SSD and reconnecting it. What's puzzling is that I can see my PC on my Microsoft account, but there's no key listed!
