I just built my new PC, and I switched from an Intel to a Ryzen CPU, using the Asus X870P WIFI motherboard. However, I'm having trouble connecting to my home Wi-Fi network. I tried downloading the drivers from the Asus website, but nothing seems to work. Should I stick with my old Wi-Fi card, or is it better to use the built-in Wi-Fi of the motherboard? Is there a significant difference between the two? Any help would be appreciated!

Is your PC even recognizing the Wi-Fi chip? If it can't detect any networks, that could be a sign of a deeper issue. You might want to check the device manager to see if the chip is recognized.
There are multiple Wi-Fi drivers available for your motherboard. I recommend trying both the Realtek and Mediatek drivers from the Asus helpdesk page. Different drivers can work better depending on your setup.
What Wi-Fi chip model are you using? You might want to double-check the compatibility requirements on the Asus specs page. Sometimes, things can get tricky with driver support, so it's important to know what you're working with!
When you're back at home, take a look at the device manager to check for your Wi-Fi chip. If it's not recognized, let me know, and I can suggest some troubleshooting steps to help you out!
