Hey everyone! I'm super excited about making an app that I believe could really help a lot of people. The only issue is that I have zero coding experience. I would love to hire someone to build it for me, but unfortunately, my budget just won't allow that. So, I've decided to teach myself how to code instead! I'm torn between learning Python, Java, or maybe something else entirely. What do you guys suggest I start with, and what's the best way or resources for learning these languages?

The time you’re willing to invest matters a lot. How much do you plan to dedicate to learning? There are so many resources out there, but a consistent effort will lead to the best results. Keep that in mind as you plan your learning journey!
If you're aiming for mobile apps, I'd recommend learning Kotlin for Android or Swift for iOS. There's also Dart with Flutter if you're thinking about both platforms. Learning React Native could be useful if you want to develop a website as well, since it uses familiar web tech like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Kotlin is particularly great for beginners interested in Android development!
I’d suggest starting by brainstorming your app's features and sketching out its layout on paper. This will help clarify your vision. After that, you could check out no-code app builders if coding feels too daunting. They can get you close to what you want without needing to dive deep into programming right away. And remember, Google is your best friend when you're learning!
