How Do I Start Upgrading My Old Prebuilt PC?

I've had this prebuilt PC for about five years, and while it was great back then, I'm realizing it's time for an upgrade. Here are my specs: Intel Core i5-10400F CPU, 40GB RAM, 2TB storage, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti. I'm really unsure about what to do next, so I need some guidance on where to start with this setup. Any advice?

First off, is that 2TB storage an SSD or a regular hard drive? If it's a prebuilt system, chances are the motherboard and power supply might not be the best quality. You could upgrade your GPU for a decent performance boost, especially since your setup seems limited by the graphics card. But if you plan to improve the CPU too, be ready to invest in a new PC altogether because of compatibility issues. Just a heads up!

It's a 2TB SSD! I probably should've mentioned that. My friend built it, and I’m not sure how skilled he is. I definitely want to play better games, but right now everything looks pretty rough.
