I just installed Linux Ubuntu, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to actually start using it as my operating system. Can anyone guide me on what to do? I'm completely new to this, so any help would be appreciated!

Did you actually run the installer? If you only flashed the installer to a USB drive, you need to boot from that USB first to install it on your hard drive. Here's a great video that could guide you through that process: https://youtu.be/3Qo4Jt-9Ltg. Let me know if that helps!

I just realized I didn't install it yet, just prepped the USB. Thanks for the video!

If you installed Ubuntu correctly, just turn on your computer and it should boot into the OS automatically. It’s similar to how you’d boot up Windows if it was already installed. Now, if you’re still seeing a boot menu or something else, you might want to check your BIOS settings to make sure your hard drive is set as the primary boot option.

Awesome, I'll check that out. Appreciate the help!

That makes sense! I was worried I missed a step. Thanks for clarifying!

After you boot up, what do you see on your screen? If it’s showing a different menu or an error, let us know so we can help further!

If you just installed the OS from a USB drive, you should pull the USB out and restart the computer. It should boot from your hard drive. If it doesn’t, you might need to enter BIOS and set your HDD or SSD as the primary boot device.

Thanks! I’ll check the BIOS settings if it doesn’t work!
