How do I switch from GNOME to KDE Plasma on Bazzite 42 without running into dependency issues?

I'm currently using Bazzite 42 (based on Fedora Silverblue) with GNOME 48. I want to switch my desktop environment to KDE Plasma, but every time I try to install it, I hit a dependency conflict that stops the installation. I've included my system details below, along with the command I've tried and the errors that come up. Can anyone help me resolve this? My command to remove GNOME packages and install KDE is causing issues with package conflicts, particularly with plasma-workspace not being able to install.

Here's what I suggest: use `rpm-ostree rebase` to change the base image, but be careful! I've had issues with black screens because of configuration conflicts. It's safer to back up your data and go for a clean reinstall. You could potentially install KDE with `dnf`, but it’s not officially supported, so do it at your own risk.

Switching DEs isn’t the typical approach with an immutable OS like yours. If you find yourself constantly trying to make it work, consider switching to a regular Linux distro. They tend to be more flexible.

Sure, you can switch to a non-systemd distro where swapping DEs is much easier. But with Bazzite, you're kinda stuck in that walled garden. Just remember that it's pretty complex when it comes to managing desktop environments.

Have you checked out the Bazzite rebase guide? It seems like transitioning from GNOME to KDE isn’t fully supported yet. I recommend sticking with GNOME for now and maybe trying to layer KDE Plasma after a future update.

Honestly, switching DEs like this can be tricky. I personally prefer a fresh install instead of messing around with overrides. It might save you a lot of headaches in the long run.
