Hey everyone! After taking a break from gaming for a couple of years, I'm really excited about getting back into it with Battlefield 6. I know that to really enjoy this new installment, I might need to upgrade my PC. Right now, my setup includes a Ryzen 5 7600 processor, an Asus GTX 1080 graphics card, 48 GB of DDR5 RAM, and storage with a 1TB NVME plus a 2TB HDD.
I'm wondering how much of a limitation my 7600 will be if I decide to upgrade to a 5070ti graphics card. My goal is to play at 1440p with 144hz, primarily focusing on Battlefield 6. I have a few months before the game's release, so I'm planning to wait a bit to avoid any potential issues with EA while saving up to splurge on my upgrade. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

You definitely need to upgrade your GPU! For 1440p, I'd say a 3060 ti is recommended for 60 FPS. If you wanna push beyond that, particularly to max settings, a 3070 or 3080 would be solid choices. The 5070ti sounds like a great option for hitting that 100+ FPS. Just keep in mind, we’ll need to wait for benchmark results from the beta to confirm how well it'll perform!
Just to clarify, did you mean the Ryzen 5700, or are you actually running a 7600? There’s a big difference! Assuming you're good with the 7600, I’d go for that 5070ti now. It might bottleneck a bit, but not enough to worry. If you can, you might also want to consider upgrading to a 5800 or the 5700x3d later on for better performance.
Oops, my bad! I meant Ryzen 7600 with DDR5. Just updated my post. Thanks for the clarification!
