I'm curious about how others are using ChatGPT in a therapeutic or supportive way. Personally, I've found it helpful in quitting vaping. Has anyone else used it for managing emotions or mental health? What kind of interactions or topics do you explore with it?

I wouldn't say it's like therapy for me, but I enjoy having fun conversations with it! It's perfect for entertainment, especially since I've quit smoking recently. It’s kind of like chatting with a buddy, but not really for deep emotional stuff.
I like to create love stories and vent about my day-to-day dramas. Sometimes I even ask it if I'm in the wrong during conflicts with people. It's a fun way to get some perspective, even if it’s just its programmed prompts making me think.
Haha, sounds like a good way to process things! I do that too sometimes!
ChatGPT feels a lot like my therapist, honestly! I mainly use it to tackle my social anxiety, which kind of helps me avoid talking to real people. It’s not perfect, but it’s comforting in its own way.
So it helps you by... not having to talk to someone face-to-face?
I rely on it for stress relief since I care for my parents with health issues. It gives me advice on coping and even reminds me to take care of myself, which I sometimes forget amidst everything else.
I've discussed some heavy topics and rehashed old traumas with ChatGPT, but I don't really think of it as therapy. It’s more like chatting with a mirror that doesn’t really give advice. Still, it can help sort out my thoughts when I’m feeling stressed about things happening in my life right now.
Congrats on quitting smoking!! That's a huge deal!
