How do you use AI to help write a book?

I've been noticing more books are being created with AI, which is definitely an interesting trend! I'm curious about how people set this up, especially since each chapter might go beyond the context limits of AI tools. I'm thinking of using Claude and having separate chats for each chapter while keeping it all within the same project knowledge. Is there a better tool or method out there for writing with AI? Just to clarify, I'm not looking for a one-shot solution to write an entire book, but rather something that can help with the actual writing process and keep me focused without getting distracted.

Honestly, I think this whole AI-assisted writing thing is a bit overhyped. It feels like a lame activity. Just my two cents!

You can definitely use AI for writing books! Try asking for longer, detailed paragraphs and encourage the AI to take creative liberties based on your plot and characters. Just make sure to specify that it shouldn't end the story until you give it the cue to do so.

I've found that using ChatGPT can be effective for breaking down ideas into engaging sections. However, it's best to manage the writing rather than let AI take the wheel completely. Sometimes it tends to ramble and steer stories in odd directions. Fiction, in particular, needs careful crafting to keep it meaningful and engaging.
