I'm currently using a 3070 and thinking about upgrading to a 5070 Ti while also considering the Ryzen 5600X for my CPU. I'm wondering how well this combo would perform together. Should I think about upgrading my CPU as well, possibly to a 5700X3D, for better performance?

You should definitely try out the new setup before deciding if you need to upgrade your CPU too. It really depends on what resolution you’re gaming at—1080p, 1440p, or 4K. If you're on 1080p, the 5600X might bottleneck the 5070 Ti a bit. At 1440p, though, it should handle it well, while for 4K, you probably won't notice much difference between the two CPUs.
Could you explain why it's bottlenecked at lower resolutions?
