I'm currently using an Nvidia 3080 and I'm considering upgrading to an AMD 9070 XT later on. I have DDR4 RAM, which I assume won't be a problem, and my power supply is pretty robust at 1000 watts since I initially planned for a 4000 series upgrade but never went through with it. Can I easily make this switch?

Yeah, it's really easy. I switched from a 3080 to a 9070 XT and it worked like a charm! The biggest hassle was just adjusting the GPU settings in the Adrenaline software after installation.
Definitely! Just make sure to download the AMD Adrenaline software. Boot into safe mode for DDU, shut down your system, install the new GPU, and then boot back into Windows. After that, install the Adrenaline software, reconnect your internet, and restart if necessary. It’s pretty smooth sailing from there.
I’ve made the jump from a GTX 1070 to a 9060 XT, and it was pretty seamless. Just update the AMD drivers afterwards and you should be all set. You’ll love the performance boost!
Switching graphics cards is fairly straightforward! Before you start, use Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to ensure all the Nvidia drivers are removed. Then just swap out the GPUs and install the new AMD drivers, and you’ll be good to go!
