I'm currently going through the Apple account recovery process and I'm curious about how long it typically lasts. I've heard from several sources that it can be quite lengthy, but I'd love to hear about your experiences and any timelines you've encountered.

I had to initiate the recovery process after a family member passed away, and I was told to expect a text in about 30 days. Unfortunately, I never received anything. I really hope your experience is smoother than mine.
It really depends on your situation. If you can access trusted devices and are using the same phone number and Wi-Fi network, the process might be quick or even instant. But if you're on a different device or location, or can't verify your account details, it could take a few weeks. It's like they give you time to secure your account in case someone else is trying to access it.

That makes sense! I do have access to my phone number and email, so maybe it'll be faster for me.
