How long should I expect my Thermaltake PSU to last?

I've been using a Thermaltake Smart 500W power supply for about six years. I initially picked it for a budget build, but recently I've noticed that my PC randomly restarts while watching movies or when I'm running demanding graphics tasks. I did upgrade my CPU and GPU since then. Could this indicate that my power supply is failing, or is it possible it just can't provide enough power? Given its lower rating, am I lucky to have had it last this long?

It definitely sounds like an issue with your power supply. Thermaltake's White PSUs are known for being pretty low quality, and 500W isn't sufficient for a modern setup. Were you working with the cheapest option available back then?

Yeah, I think it was. I had an RX570 and a Ryzen 2600 six years back, so I didn't budget much for the PSU. Guess it didn’t allow for future upgrades.
