I accidentally spilled some coffee on my laptop but thankfully it didn't have any sugar. I shut it down immediately and dried it off, then waited about five hours before turning it back on. It seems to be working fine for now, but I'm worried that the worst might still happen. I can't open up the laptop to dry the insides, so I'm hoping to find out how long I should wait until I can really relax about it. It's been outside drying for a bit too. Any advice on how long I should leave it before feeling safe?

I recommend letting your laptop dry for at least a day or two just to be sure. It can take time for all the moisture to evaporate, and the drying time can vary based on climate. The main mistake people make is powering it on too soon. Just give it a couple of days, and you’ll feel much safer!
I'll leave it till tomorrow. It's 35 degrees Celsius so hopefully that's enough.
