I'm currently sharing an Apple ID with my father, and I'm concerned about how much of my information he can access on my phone. Is there any way for me to keep my data private while still sharing this account?

If you're sharing an Apple ID, he can see pretty much everything on your phone. This includes messages, photos, notes, and so on, since that's how Apple IDs work—they sync all your data across devices. It's really not a great idea to share an account like this. Best bet? Just create your own Apple ID.
Honestly, you should definitely not be sharing an Apple ID. It compromises your privacy completely. If he needs oversight, you can link accounts in Family Sharing instead. Just make sure to set up your own account for peace of mind!
Yeah, I didn't know about that! He set it up for me years ago, and I’m just finding out how much he can see.
