I'm currently using an old gaming laptop my parents gifted me, but after playing Resident Evil 9, I realized I need a new PC due to the long loading times and frustrating graphics. Can anyone provide some recommendations? I really enjoy the Resident Evil series and I've recently started playing Overwatch again. How much should I save before I start buying parts for a new gaming setup?

It really depends on the quality of the parts you choose. I’d estimate around $2000, give or take $400, based on what peripherals you might also want and what you plan to do with the PC.
You'll need to save a good amount because you can't upgrade your laptop at all. Aim for about $800 or more to get the recommended specs for RE9 when building your new PC.
With prices skyrocketing for SSDs and RAM lately, I’d say you should save around $1500. This also considers extras like a keyboard and monitor, unless you already have those. A solid desk and chair would also help!

That sounds about right! It's always good to budget a bit more just in case.
