How Should I Connect My AIO Fans and RGB?

I'm looking to optimize the setup of my AIO cooler. I know that connecting the AIO fans to the motherboard's CPU header will make them run based on the CPU's temperature. Can I instead connect the fans to the motherboard while linking the RGB to a fan hub for control? I'm curious if that setup works well and if it's reliable.

Absolutely! That's a common setup. In fact, I have my Arctic Freezer III configured that way: the AIO fans are plugged into the CPU_FAN header on the motherboard, while the RGB is connected to my case's ARGB hub. Works perfectly!

Just to clarify, is the ARGB hub solely for controlling the RGB lights? And have you ever faced any issues with this configuration?
