Is it Time to Upgrade My Gaming PC?

I've built my gaming PC three years ago, and lately, I've noticed it's struggling with some newer games. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of money to invest in a whole new setup right now. Here are my current specs:
- **CPU**: Intel 10-core i5 13400F
- **GPU**: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 3060 Ti 8GB
- **Motherboard**: ASRock Z790 PG Lightning DDR5
- **Memory**: 32GB DDR5
- **Storage**: 1TB SSD
- **Power Supply**: Thermaltake Smart BM2 650 Watt

With these components, I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading any parts, like the GPU or CPU, or if I should just hold off and save up for a full rebuild. Any advice?

Before deciding, what's your budget like? You could sell your existing parts to fund the upgrades. Your setup can still handle 1440p, but upgrading to a 5070 would really boost performance. Just keep in mind you might need a 750W power supply too.

Actually, you might find that the 9070 is a better option right now, often cheaper and performs better, especially for ray tracing and has more VRAM than the 5070.

True, but a 3060 Ti can struggle with 1440p if you're playing more demanding games.

Make sure to determine how your games are struggling! That way you can decide whether you need a little boost or if you're looking for a big leap in performance. Consider what upgrade would help you enjoy your gaming experience longer as newer titles come out.

Upgrading is definitely worth considering! It really depends on your budget and what you want to achieve. If you can sell your old components or save up a little, that opens up more possibilities. Just make sure you know how you're gaming struggles to pinpoint which parts need the most focus for an upgrade.

You might want to just swap out your GPU for something better and that could take care of most of your gaming struggles. If you're into CPU-intensive games, consider upgrading to an i7, but honestly, for most games, a new GPU should do the trick.

You do have some options, but with the market being tough right now, you might want to wait. The Intel CPUs were cheaper a few months back, but prices have since risen. If you're playing above 1080p, consider something like the 9060 XT for a good bump in performance, or save for a 9070, but be aware your CPU might limit its power a bit.

Yeah, I worry about the market getting worse too. Upgrading CPU, GPU, and power supply sounds costly, so I need to carefully weigh my options.

Also, underclocking the GPU might help ease the load if you think you'll upgrade the CPU soon. Let it run cool for a bit.
