How Should I Manage Storage for My First PC Build?

I'm building my first PC and trying to figure out the best way to manage storage. From what I understand, the C drive is usually the internal SSD, and the D drive can be either an external HDD or SSD. I believe the OS, smaller apps, and games I play often should go on the C drive, while the D drive can hold everything else. I have a few questions: 1) Should I opt for a larger internal SSD (2TB) without an external drive, or a smaller internal SSD with an external one, especially considering rising prices? 2) How complicated is it to replace an internal SSD, and should I be worried about that? 3) Should I be concerned about DRAM in SSDs? I'm looking at a 2TB SSD that is DRAM-less, is that okay? Thanks for any advice!

For most users, sticking with a single larger drive is really convenient. A good 1TB SSD (with DRAM cache and TLC) for your main system and then a more budget-friendly larger drive for games is a solid plan.

Just so you know, TLC is a type of MLC NAND! MLC means Multi-level Cell, and it includes TLC and QLC types. Most consumers now just refer to it as TLC since it's more common these days.
