I'm setting up my first AM5 system, and I'm noticing that the hook screws on my CPU cooler don't feel tight at all, unlike my previous Intel setup. Is this normal? My PC powers on, but there's a red warning light and no display. I also bought a motherboard that doesn't have a boot code LED to help debug any mistakes I might have made.

It sounds like your screws might not be seating properly. Can you describe which part you're having issues with? Typically, screws should bottom out, so make sure everything's aligned right. If you can, link a pic for more clarity!
Those screws should not be super loose. Just don’t crank them too hard—tighten them until they feel secure. You've got to ensure the cooler is held firmly in place to avoid overheating!
Since you mentioned that your cooler is a Corsair H150i Pro, check if the backplate is installed correctly. It should be in position so the screws can thread into it. If it’s loose, that might be causing your issue.
