I'm having a really tough time with my Windows 11 setup. After a recent update, I've been locked out of my system. The login screen says my PIN isn't available and I can't access my usual login options. My mouse and keyboard don't work in WinRE, even though they function perfectly in the BIOS and USB command prompts. I tried resetting the PIN, but nothing happens when I click the reset link. Both my Wi-Fi adapter and Ethernet connection are being ignored too. I've attempted some command line fixes and registry changes, but now I don't even see a prompt for logging in. Is there any way to force Windows 11 into Safe Mode without going through WinRE? Or has anyone experienced this issue before? I'm close to just wiping my C drive.

Honestly, if you've messed with command prompts and can't access recovery options anymore, reinstalling Windows might be your best bet. I managed to get internet on the login screen while using USB tethering, but if you can't access recovery, that might not help much.
Have you tried using Hiren's Boot CD? It can boot from a USB and has an option to create a new account, which might help you bypass the login issues.
I appreciate the suggestion! I just ran it, and it allowed me to create a new admin account. Everything's working fine now!
Glad to hear it worked! Just curious, do you know what caused your WinRE issues?
If you're still looking for options, you might try editing a specific registry key. Navigate to SOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionPasswordLessDevice and set its value to 0. If done correctly, this should switch your login method from PIN to password, assuming you remember your password!
Tried that too, unfortunately, but it didn’t help. Looks like it's time for a fresh install.

I've tried the startup repair and recovery options but no luck at all. Guess I'm set on that reinstallation.
