I implemented some major changes in our production environment, and unfortunately, it didn't go as planned. We had to roll everything back and start from scratch, which has left me feeling guilty and frustrated. I know that mistakes are a part of life, but I'm hoping to learn from this experience. Mistakes are just part of the process. If you didn't have to roll back, that might have been more concerning. Frustrating as it is, use it as a learning opportunity and try to refocus yourself moving forward.

I've been in this industry for 15 years, and honestly, anyone who says they've rolled something out without regrets is probably lying. In the future, try to create control groups—pick a few workstations and push updates there first. If everything goes smoothly, then roll it out more widely. You learn from these moments, so don’t beat yourself up too much!
