How to Build a Budget-Friendly High-End Gaming PC

I'm looking to build a high-end gaming PC capable of playing demanding games like Cyberpunk and Monster Hunter Wilds. My current prebuilt PC is quite outdated and isn't cutting it anymore. I've made a preliminary list of components, which you can check out here: [https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/Zagoon/saved/s9Lgzy].

I'm generally looking for tips on how to make this build cheaper without sacrificing performance. I don't care about RGB lighting, so if you know of some good alternatives for the RAM or CPU cooler I've chosen, I'd love to hear them.

Additionally, does the brand of the 5080 really matter? I'm expecting that getting a founders edition will be tough to find, but it seems to be the most affordable option. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You might be overdoing it on fans. Consider getting a case like the Montech Air 903 Max, which comes with four 140mm fans and is known for great cooling. Also, skip brands like Asus ROG to save some cash; try an MSI X870 board instead. A Samsung SSD and a 360mm AIO cooler could be considered overkill—you'd get similar performance with a good air cooler that’s quieter at lower loads.

Ditching RGB RAM can save you about $35. As for the 5080, the brand isn’t a huge deal; models with larger heatsinks tend to be more quiet, but the Nvidia reference model works perfectly fine too. Check out this updated build—it’s $700 cheaper without sacrificing any gaming performance: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/wDxvYd.

I noticed a potential incompatibility on Pc Part Picker with this new build. Should I be concerned about that?

To better help you, can you specify at what settings and resolution you're aiming to play your games? What frame rate are you targeting?

I'm looking at 1080p at 240Hz for now, but I might consider upgrading to 1440p later. I just want a smooth experience with Monster Hunter Wilds, and Cyberpunk is beautiful, so ray tracing and high settings would be ideal. I'm okay spending on a 5080 and 9800X3D, just hoping to save money elsewhere without losing performance.
