I'm currently using a really old and small HDD as my C drive, which is mainly just for booting and installing software. Most of my files are stored on my D and E drives. The problem is that my 110GB C drive is running out of space, so I've bought a 300GB drive to replace it. I want to clone my old drive to the new one, but I'm facing an issue with drive letters. I can't change the C drive to a different letter, and I can't clone the new drive as C while that letter is still in use. What would be the best way to handle this?

You could use a USB enclosure to connect your new drive to your computer, then use cloning software like Clonezilla to clone your old C drive to the new one. Once that's done, power down your system, remove the old drive, and replace it with the new larger drive. By the way, I noticed you picked a 300GB drive; have you thought about getting a 512GB or 1TB one? They’re often not that much more expensive and are more commonly available.

I went for the cheapest option since I just needed it for booting purposes, and it only cost me about $10.
