I'm facing interference issues with my 2.4GHz wireless mouse dongle due to my router. I tried to disable the 2.4GHz band via the advanced WiFi settings in my browser, but when I look at the 5GHz settings, I see options like auto 20/40/80 or auto 20/40. I'm not sure if these options mean the 2.4GHz is completely off. Does disabling it really prevent my router from sending out any signals that interfere with my 2.4GHz devices?

Just a tip: try not to keep your cell phone close to your mouse. I had a similar issue where my phone was causing interference. Once I moved it away, the connection improved drastically!
Just to add, disabling 2.4GHz will indeed keep it from broadcasting any signals, so your wireless devices should perform better without that interference. But don't forget, if you have older devices like Chromecasts, they might need 2.4GHz to work, so you may have to find a balance.
You're mixing up channel widths with channel numbers! For 5GHz, it’s fine to keep the setting at 20/40/80 MHz channel widths since it uses different frequencies than 2.4GHz. Just leave 2.4GHz disabled on your router—this should stop any interference with your Bluetooth devices. Just keep in mind that you won't be able to use any devices that only work on 2.4GHz WiFi, so that might limit you a bit!
Great, that made things clearer. Thank you!
