I'm trying to set up my GPU, and I noticed it has three slots for power cables. The instructions caution against using two ends of the same cable (like connecting both ends of a 4x4 cable). However, I only have two cables that fit this description. If I can't connect two ends from the same cable, does that mean I need to buy an additional cable? Also, should I ensure that the new cable matches the brand of my power supply?

You can safely use two cables, just don’t connect both ends of the same cable to the GPU. The 4+4 connectors are actually for CPUs, not GPUs—what you need are PCIe cables, which usually have a 6+2 configuration.

Wait, but the instructions warn against it! What if it actually damages the GPU? Also, my GPU's fans aren't turning on—should I be worried about that?
